It's time for BBQ!
We hope you have a happy holiday weekend filled with BBQ, beer and Blackhawks. If you need to catch up on your reading, here’s what we covered this week on Chicago Bites:

We put out a reminder to get your breakfast cereal related cupcakes ready for Iron Cupcake Chicago‘s first anniversary. It’s coming up June 7, so there’s still time to participate.
Croissant Quest 2010 continued with a visit to Hendrickx Belgian Bread Crafters.
We had a photo montage of Chicago Craft Beer Week‘s closing events.
Breweries in Chicago are more than just beer. We took a peak at Goose Island Clybourne‘s hearty lunch option.
There were whirling dervishes and baklava at Chicago Turkish Festival.
And finally, we looked at the magical pairing of fried chicken and champagne at Chalkboard.
More to come next week!

If you like breakfast cereal and cupcakes, then get prepare your entry for the anniversary edition of Iron Cupcake Chicago. All you need to do to participate in the challenge is come up with a fantastic cereal-themed cupcake idea and then send an email to Irma Dinkha (beautifulcakes@sbcglobal.net).
The event will be held at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro, 3905 N Lincoln Avenue on June 7, 6pm with a $5 cover. There will be a raffle, prizes and, of course, lots of cupcakes to try!

For inspiration try a candy corn cupcake from Phoebe's Cupcakes.
Love free cupcakes? Head over to tonight’s Iron Cupcake Chicago Challenge at Veranda Greek American Taverna, 5700 W Irving Park Road at 7pm. Contestants will go head to head to see whose entry has the best of Fall flavors. We hope to see pumpkin and apple cupcakes, but are secretly hoping for someone to bring the candy corn greatness. Ha!
