Chicago Bites is an independent restaurant review Web site and podcast run from the ground up by us — Bridget Houlihan and Tammy Green.

Who we are…

Bridget is a public affairs professional and writer by day turned avid foodie by night.  She likes dining out and exploring social media for essentially the same reason — they are both good ways to connect people. Through Chicago Bites, Bridget has come to know the best of the Chicago restaurant scene from its treasured dives, to its high-end dining rooms. She is always in search of her next dining adventure and has a love for all kinds of good food.

Tammy has been eating for years, but didn’t discover her professional fascination with food until she started talking about it every week. As a result of Chicago Bites, she has expanded her interest in food policy, gardening, composting, organic issues, slow food and how these things impact the Chicago dining experience. She’s found her restaurant knowledge to be the ultimate ice breaker.

What we do…

We started recording our dining adventures in the city roughly four years ago to expand our culinary horizons, meet new people, and play with cool technology.

Now, we’re a go-to resource for tidbits about the local restaurant scene.  We post up-to-date reviews weekly, and design custom dining tours upon request for our neighbors and tourists alike.  We are also manage an extremely active Twitter account with some 10,000 foodie followers where we talk all food all of the time!

We’re never paid to review restaurants and always openly disclose when we are invited to have a meal for free.

At the heart of it all is our love for good food and a desire to explore, learn about, and make the most of what restaurants in Chicago have to offer.
