Ahh….to choose just one favorite? This is so hard. I’m going to go with YumCakes’ Banana Puddin’ cupcake!

On Saturday, I had a carrot cake cupcake from Molly’s in Lincoln Park. I never thought I liked carrot cake until I had that delicious treat!

My favorite this year was the French Toast Cupcake at Sweet Mandy B’s. It was an odd flavor for a cupcake but it captured the essence of French Toast while leaving me with a profound appreciation for the dessert. Loved the frosting, the moist cake. I had many fine, excellent cupcakes this year but that one was the most memorable. More’s Lemon Meringue was a close second.
