Beef Stroganoff

Beef stroganoff at Russian Tea Time, along with a side of beets and carrots, is the best I've had.

Sometimes the very  best way to ward off Chicago’s winter chill is with a hearty meal that sticks to your bones. And the beef stroganoff at Russian Tea Time, one of my long-time favorites,  still fits the bill better than almost anything else I’ve found.

The sauce is rich and creamy, the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the fresh dill on the top adds just the right something.  Be warned… after you’ve tasted this no other  strogenoff will do. But that’s okay because it’s all the stroganoff you’ll ever need. In fact, there may even be leftovers to take home. My picture doesn’t do it justice, but I still wanted to give it a shout-out because this is too good to pass up!

  1. I used to go here after class in the old days. Loved it. It’s a bygone era, isn’t it? Glad the stroganoff is up to snuff.

  2. It certainly is. Makes me love it all the more.
