What’s even better than spotting chefs at Chicago Gourmet? Trying the food! Even though the lines were long at times, the wait was always worth the inconvenience. Here are a few of the dishes from this year’s event:
Everything was excellent, but my favorites were Dirk Flanigan’s sea bream served over roasted pumpkin, Graham Elliot’s fig served in a delectable foam concoction, and the trio of fruit market soup, macaroons and painted pumpkin chocolates from Chris Nugent. I’m already salivating for next year’s event.
As media, we attended this event free-of-charge.
