Sunday night we attended a tweet-up organized by the ever-lovely @GourmetRambler. She had a taste for fried chicken, and took a hungry group of Twitterati to The Southern for family style fried chicken, gravy, collared greens, black-eyed peas, biscuits with honey butter and carrot cake for dessert.
We are still stuffed.
You have to make special arrangements with the restaurant to accommodate large groups since they normally do this for parties of 6-10. You also need to give them 48 hours notice if you want the family style dinner. For $22 dollars a person, though? It’s so worth it.
We’ll be back.
