I was with Bridget on her visit to Smoke Daddy and I want to bring up the wings. The best I have ever had!!! I don't like the crispy deep fried sauced wings. I want my wings with flavor, but I don't want them drippy. This is what they serve a Smoke Daddy. The wings are smoked and then grilled to perfection. The choice of spices are perfect and give the wings a nice little kick. I will be back for more.
I have to agree that the mac and cheese at Smoke Daddy's was nothing to write home about...but I didn't care, there are so many other great choices for sides. I suggest the cole slaw...a hint of cilantro makes this dish.
I give Smoke Daddy a big thumbs up! Good food, good atmosphere and good beer!

Honey 1 on Western south of Fullerton http://honey1bbq.com/
or
Uncle John's on 69th and Calumet
(he doesn't have a website so here's a link to the google maps picture of the place)
http://tinyurl.com/nqjsgu
I've been to each one and enjoyed them very much. They both have wood fired smokers and serve up extremely tasty BBQ.

Fat Willie's is another good spot to consider for BBQ. While I have not yet been to Smoque (I know, for shame), I do think that the Mac and Cheese is better at Fat Willie's than Smoke Daddy. It is damn good though!
