Tammy and I couldn’t resist when a fellow podcaster, Steve, suggested we try the breakfast fare at Pauline’s. This charming place is far enough from Andersonville’s main thoroughfares to feel like a neighborhood hang out, but close enough to public transportation to be convenient. We enjoyed our food so much that it nearly made up for the fact that our waitress completely ignored us. It’s never a good thing when a “bottomless” cup of coffee turns out to be a farce. Still, Pauline’s is a worthy stop.

Marci and I went to a newish restaurant in Evanston in anticipation of a good meal. There was a line, so we were seated and ordered drinks which arrived. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. Then people that arrived after us were seated, and our movie time was getting close, and I got pissed. We found the manager, told him to pay for our drink, and left for unhappy fast food around the corner.
At least you guys got food.

Just giving you guys a shout-out. Chicago is one of my favorite cities (to eat in). I have been listened to all of your podcasts (thanks to iTunes), and have enjoyed hearing your comical take on Chicago eatery experiences. Keep making me laugh, guys! Cheers, u.e.

You're right, Jack. I think we were lucky to get food. There was a time there when I was starting to wonder. But the food really was good... once it got there. Good service is such a huge part of the dining experience.

My husband and I ate there once and never will again. The service was some of the worst I've ever experienced in my LIFE. And not for lack of people working - they were just terribly unorganized. I've seen places that busy work like clockwork. Never again.

Before I forget...whoo-hoo! 50 podcasts!!!
Until the ulteriore epicure pointed it out, I never realized we brought the funny. Ahhhhh, these insights are what makes podcasting so much fun!
