Chicago Bites #39
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!

The veggie paella is worth the 20 minute wait.
Bridget and I agree that even though there are better places for tapas in the city, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba is still a good place for standard tapas classics. You can load up on a combination of sangria, patas bravas & goat cheese, feed a crowd, and then go home with cash in your pocket. If you want a fun, lively atmosphere and food that everyone in your group can agree on, then head over to Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba!

My experience at Emilio's was ten years ago but very negative. I think it centered around the server who's Spanish was even worse than mine. Maybe I should check it out again.
I also like Iberico for parties and even small groups. But the entrance is a problem on popular nights.
For a small place that does nice tapas, Marci and I really like Arco de Cuchilleros on North Halsted (north of Roscoe). You would consume about half the seats with your birthday party.
Excellent! We'll add it to the list.
Any chance you and Marci could eat out with us?
